At a local watering hole, an ass of patron was removed by the Staff due to his high level of intoxication. After being ejected, and in a fit of rage, for some reason he staggered up to my Rocket and pushed it over...

This caused me a large amount of displeasure which I directed at the drunkard with great enthusiasm. After the authorities rescued the vandal from his position of dentition, I righted the Rocket and was greatly relieved that there was no damage to my bike. The crash bars had prevented the bike from going all the way over. There is a slight 1/4 inch blemish on the right crash bar, where it contacted the deck, however, other than that nothing.

I am really glad that installed them, I hate to imagine what would of happened otherwise...

I love a good story with a happy ending.
But do tell, how big was the idiots "blemish" when the police showed up?

Dumped mine in my friends driveway last Thursday on my "almost went to Daytona trip". I hear you on the value of those crash (I mean...ahem..."dresser") bars, bent my right mirror in a little, straightened it out and bike is as good as new. Now only if my friend will pave his driveway before next year's trip...it's only a third of a mile long or so. Trying to ride up his motorcycle unfriendly dirt road to his house was definitely not a high point in my trip last week.

I've dumped mine over 4 or 5 times, counting the time the wind blew it over, crash bars saved it every time, never damaged, Excellent investment.
