Coolant on the left side of my engine case last night...

I'm only new too but I had a similar issue with mine and found the cap was off the overflow tank. Id check that first....

I've had to replace both radiator hoses on my '08 Classic. I was able to find the smaller hose at Napa Auto Parts, but the larger hose (larger in diameter on one end than the other) I needed to use a Triumph part.

Thanks everyone. Funny enough, after I wiped it all off it hasn't done it since. That said, I still think I smell coolant when I come to a stop, so it's either still there somewhere or my mind THINKS it is.

Aside from that, since I'm a long-tenured owner of the R3 for three whole days now I can say I'm absolutely loving the ride and hate to park her. The '02 Fatboy that I built up to a 95" with hot cams, compression releases, apes, cool air cleaner, etc. etc. etc. is on Craigslist. :) (Keeping my old trusty Shovelhead though)

When mine was new I could smell coolant but never saw any. At first service the tech loosened all the hose clamps, reset hoses than retightened - no problem since. He said it was not uncommon on Triumph and some Kawasaki's.

Mine used to weep from the top of the rad cap. Not a lot. The little decal on the cap fell off because of the leak. I was going to get it changed the last time I was in Ottawa under warranty but for some reason, it stopped leaking.

Look for the simple things first as already been stated.

The cap on the over flow likes to come loose..its soft rubber and garbage IMO. As I can access the overflow by pulling the entire cap out and it really isn't something I do often, I'm going to superglue the BS cap together and just remove the entire soft rubber when applicable. When these are slightly over filled they defeintly don't like it and will drain..make sure your drain hose is also pulled past your block. Found mine was still squirelled up by the block some time ago
