Considering a 2013 R3T

The R3T is a great bike for the Bigger guys and I loved mine until a slight hiccup and we parted ways ,but for 45000Klms I would not have ever contemplated riding anything else ,its still in the Family undergoing a rebuild so I can still ride it when I feel like a brief renewal of the love affair

Was the hiccup bike/mechanical related? Anything to be careful or watchful of?

Don't worry too much, as some/most Rockets appear to be very reliable and lots of guys on this Forum have had no problems ,mine was making some serious gearbox noises and I bailed out and gave it to my son to fix and keep ,it never broke but was worrying me so much I stopped riding it ,as I said in the first 45000Ks it was faultless and a fantastic ride,

My 2013 R3T has been great. 49k on it. I did have a timing chain fail (at dealer) $350 and a week down. No biggie.

How did you make that seat more comfy? It's still quite hard and I've been riding mine for years

I cut the seat pan and riveted it back together, cut holes under where the "sitting bones" rest. And I took a grinder and sanding disk and formed the foam to fit my big butt.
