Clutch switch problem

I ordered parts from Hermy's last week, including clutch (in case it's too worn). It could take a couple of weeks to get everything and then I'll probably wait until a long cold spell in November or December before I tear into it. It's past due (I'm at about 45k miles), but I hate not being able to ride during that time.

yeah, I remember that metal fuel connect thread, but since you found the connectors on amazon, I ordered like 5 of them in case I break them while opening the fuel connector.

Remind us what you got on Amazon (link). I guess several plastic ones is just as good as one metal and probably cheaper.

Hoping for a link to confirm the size, but searching and finding your earlier post you said you got 5/16th (8mm). The metal one from Beamer Boneyard is 1/4". If you're sure of the fuel line size let us know and I'll remove the link to the metal one which, in that case, won't work.

I'll probably follow suit and just order some plastic ones and some fuel line. It'd be nice to add 2 - 3" so you actually can lift the tank more than a hair without stressing that connection.

Update- I found where @Tal changed the connector and it is 7.89 or 5/16th

Not doubting you, but just checking. That link shows a ...

in the description it says.. Fitting Attachment 2: Hose Barb fit for 1/4 ID nylon hose (barb size is 5/16")

Let me know- I just ordered this one which, if I understand correctly, is 5/16th at each end.

Apologies to the OP. There is an old thread on the fuel line connection here for anyone interested in continuing that discussion...
