I was riding home from work on Friday, and the Check Engine light came on. It rode fine home, and I parked it. I went out a couple of times this weekend just to see if it was a fluke... but the bastard is still there blinding me with that dreaded orange glow. Anyone have any experience with this? It seems like it could be a multitude of things. I am taking it into the shop tomorrow. Hopefully I will have it back by the weekend.

Plug your TuneBoy in and it will tell you what is causing it.
It will??? I have only downloaded the tunes, so I am not super experienced with it. Where will it tell me what is malfunctioning?

Use TuneBoy (not TuneEdit) and click on the "Errors" light at the top of the screen. On this screen you can see them, clear them, and refresh them.
I will try it out tonight! Mucho Gracias~

O.K. I am getting ready to head home... do I hook up the computer to the bike, and then start the bike?

I haven't used Tuneboy to retrieve codes, but I suspect it works like any other code reader. You should just have to plug in your laptop, turn the bike on, and start Tuneboy and retrieve the codes. I doubt the bike needs to be running.

first off I strongly reccomend reading the instructions, cause this is covered in them..

if I remember correctly: its the same procedures as the tuneedit.
you hook it up to your bike, turn on the key ( not start it)

and open the tuneboy program ( not the tuneedit).. then once its opened and conencted etc. you can retireve error codes, and also clear them...

its pretty cool.. it will even tell you what your bike is thinking, like what temperature things are, if your kickstand is up or down etc etc...
cant remember all of it, but any sensor readings will or can be displayed.

Id love to have it hooked up wile ridign and display all of that stuff on a screen, but Id probably wreck
