Check Engine Light...

Does any other members live near you, I think you are on the right track, reset the stepper motor on the throttle should fix it

Honestly, I don't know if other members live near me. I am in Kingsport Tennessee if anyone is reading this and you're close!:D

I have seen a few Rockets on the road over the past few days though, so maybe so!

Hanso, you make is sound so easy! I have no idea how to reset the stepper motor. Is that something you can do through TuneECU?

Well, I went and picked up the bike and she seems to be running great! I do still have the light, but things seem normal as far as I could tell from the short ride. For those that asked, the idle appears to be sitting about 8-900 and its quite steady. I have ordered the tuneECU cable and I'll pull down the program. I'll let you guys know when it comes in and maybe I can get some direction at the time to see what would be helpful. I don't think the butterflies have anything to do with it, that was just a way to save face (or maybe they do believe that's the real deal). I do hope to make the light go away though!

i admit i am one who sits back and reads to take in all this wealth of information not contributing much . But i do agree with you so many people so ready to jump forward and help others who they have never met unheard of! My helmets off to you all dont hurt youreself but give youreself a pat on the back

Same here. I don't know much mechanically so I can't help out much, but I have always been impressed by how much everyone here knows and is willing to help. Great group of folks!

the reason I asked if someone live near you they could (providing they have come to understand TuneECU) help you reset the Stepper motor which in conjunction with the TPS are probably the most common reasons I have seen on here for people to get "THE LIGHT" I was amazed a while back at how far mine was out yet it had not triggered "the light" I just noticed an occasional rough idle, so I ran the test procedure for the ISCV which is what sets the idle speed and checked the TPS while I was at it, just followed the on screen instructions in the TuneECU software quite simple.
