Check Engine Light on after Truck-lite headlight/Stebel horn instal

Hi all - I have a question I hope someone can answer. I just installed Truck-lite headlight & spots and a Stebel horn. I did have the gages unplugged. Battery was disconnected for about 10 minutes. After I started it - Gas gage didn’t read and check engine light came on. I checked connections to make sure nothing came lose under the tank. I also let it run for about 15 minutes after but the light stayed on.
I don't have a way to read the code. Anyone have any thoughts?

It's just because you've had things disconnected. The light will stay on until the engine has had 3 starts from cold and warmed up fully.

It's normal my friend and nothing to worry about, it will go out

The bits you need to read the codes etc are dirt cheap, if you have a Windows PC all you need is a cable from http://www.lonelec.co.uk and the free TuneECU software. Even if you don't need them in this case, then.

Plus you can then, if you wish, replace your ECU map with one that makes the bike rev appropriately to 6k and deliver the 140 horses it should have.
