Turbocharged
Been meaning to post this for a while but I always forget after I change my front tire. On my 2013 touring model the manual says to make sure the right caliper is centered on the rotor and gently pry the lower fork in or out if needed before tightening the pinch bolts.
I don't know how many models this applies to as Harry's 2008 touring model that my friend David bought isn't set up the same way.
It's a pain in the neck but it makes a huge difference on how well the front brakes work. If you lay down on your back with a flashlight and look up at the bottom of the caliper you can move the fork in and out until the center of the rotor lines up with the line where the two halves of the caliper come together.
It looks a little bit off in the picture due to the camera angle but that's the best but that's the best shot that I could get of it.
I don't know if this applies to the classics or standard models but I thought I would put it here and general Tech talk it just in case it might help someone out.
