I've noticed since the weather warmed up the last few days that there is a smell of burnt plastic when I shut off the bike. I haven't noticed any smoke, no burned wires, no damage or anything. It dissipates quickly. The bike seems to be running fine. No funny noises, nothing out of the ordinary.

Today as a matter of fact, is the most ever I've seen puked up. The beast chocked up perhaps a couple ounces today. This has been the warmest averaged daily temperature in awhile. My FBG ran like crap today. I'm still trying to figure it. And the RPMs after considerable warm up was high at idle; very high.
I'd be checking to see if I ran over a plastic bag in the road and it got sucked up in the exhaust pipes. I did that and it stunk for a while.......................
Since your bike is somewhat new I wonder if its the exhaust sytem maybe the CAT meterial "burning" in. Just a suggestion ( im pretty sure I pulled that one out of my arse!!!)
I was wondering that myself. Since it's been very cool temp wise since I got my bike, I figured the change in temps was the part of cause. At least as far as noticing it.
I'm going for a long ride today, I'll check it out again.
how about the protective coating Triumph uses for shipping. Mine had a some behind the oil reservoir that would stink when it got warmer. Its a wax/oil base product that had a plastic smell.
