Hi all. Just wanted to report yet another motorcycle accident. My neighbor was on a back road out in the boonies, 45 mph limit, usually no traffic. Came up on 2 cars in front of him that slowed like they were looking for an address, or were about to turn, etc. so he didn't want to pass. A car behind him, slammed into him. He almost lost his leg, broken collar bone and shoulder blade. They patched his leg up yesterday with a plate, and will go back in Monday to put in a pin, but worried about infection as it was a nasty compound fracture. They said part of the bone is actually missing ??? So Guys and Gals, be careful out there. If they don't pull out in front of us, they'll get us from behind. So sad

Terrible news, as I keep telling my students always have at least two escape paths, be in the proper gear so you can high tail out of the way and keep scanning side to side /forward/ backwards.
Hope your friend comes out okay sometimes you just cannot get out of the way.

Sorry to hear that hope he pulls through ok and they prosecute the a$$ hole who hit him.makes me so angry when people are not concentrating when there on the road

I spent the day at the hospital. Drove his 78 year old Mom there. I got her to call Morgan and Morgan while we were in the waiting room. They are sending an investigator Monday. We got the Florida Highway Patrol accident report number, and his Moto Guzi insurance has been contacted. He was in surgery for over 2 hours yesterday, and going back for more tomorrow.

I got a big fright yesterday while waiting to turn across the flow of traffic.

Heard a noise like brakes locked up coming from behind me.

Thought that I was going to be rear ended but thank goodness it was an airplane coming in to land at the airport, was about 40 feet above my head.

I hope your neighbor recoves from this horrible event.

I hope the people had good insurance. Florida limits only being 10k for personal Injury... or hopefully your buddy carries a um/uim policy.
