Bugger this....

My Fournales were about €600: and I have never regretted getting them.

But after my fork upgrade from Maxton - if I were starting from scratch (esp if I was in the UK) I would just go to see Richard at Maxtons and have a full front/rear setup made.

Next year DMX in Spain (who are just down the road) will start making fork cartridges. They were VERY impressed by the Maxtons and see them as the price to beat.
Did you get the Maxton GP20 or GP30 cartridges?

GP20 - AFAIK they do not offer the GP30. R3 forks are not that capacious internally.

They offer with or without preload/damping adjustment.
I ordered without as my (non standard) handlebars were going to be very likely to impinge fitment.
They supplied them with damping adjusters anyway FOC.

I will go and see Damian at DMX next year.
DMX fitted my Maxtons for me (and later adjusted the air gap for free) , and they want to make a kit with recessed pre-loaders for Kayaba's (for which they are an agent).

Just bought progressive fork springs and will up the oil to 10...should work well with the wilbers on the rear..looking forward to that change,

Prob bout the best mod you could make Tal and they look wicked .
Hope you feel better soon mate , I'm an expert in stomach pain . Not nice !

Re The suspension...thanx...am looking forward to it.
I did contact Maxtons and will start a thread with the info they sent...very good.

You will find the progressives a big improvement, going to 10 wt oil might be abit much though......

Might be but will check the manual and go a tad higher...if its 7 then maybe 8 or 9 ???my mechanic m8 will know which...he is good on Rockets and is a member on here so I have faith...

P.S. just had a squiz at the manual and it recommends 5w ...so ..
