That's what I have heard about the lower as well, they get rid of the buffeting. On that note I think they come standard on the touring. All that said I'm loving the fly screen....... And everything that comes with it......

Oh yeah, the lowers make a world of difference. Kinda seems to hold in the right side warmth a touch but not near as rough as the hurricane in the face under the windshield

I raised my summer screen by a couple of inches by making new mounts. Works pretty well. Did not have to cut holes in the screen. I simply increased the opening size at the bottom.

Took my full windshield off a while ago. Like it a lot better. May install a flyscreen later for looks but it's not really a necessity.

I am happy with my stock R3T screen and lowers ,no buffeting at 120kph and no pressure on chest, wind goes straight over the top of my helmet at 6'1 its OK for me .

it's the lowers that make all make the difference, I have found

I agree Hanso on my Suzuki C109 RT (the boulevard touring) model I took the lowers off because I didn't like the look, straight away at 100kph plus I noticed turbulence coming up from the rear of the screen and a lot of engine heat as well put them back on and a complete reversal of the air flow around the screen. I suspect it would be the same with the Rocket as they are simular screen/lowers combination.
