Braking during cornering

Yes you’ve seen our roads. I’ve had the rear master cylinder recall done but the other day the rear just seemed soft and at times lacking power. “Decreasing radius downhill hellbenders” Yep. Those are their ones where you better be able to use quite a bit of front brake in corners.
 
Yeah, I used to do that in my younger days, when I was a nutter. Also, in the wet, believe it or not. Now? I'm too scared to ride like that. The point is, you can brake in the bend; I've done it plenty of times on the skinny tyres from the 80s. You just have to know your machine, I suppose, and have the bottle.
 
My nearest off-road was because on to much acceleration and to late to brake. Ask Journeyman, he might have filled it. Always be ready to slow down, corner or not.

I do remember that. I think i was filming, but as video tends to do it didn't look at all like it did to you in the cockpit.

As you said, always be ready to slow down. I'm using a lot more trail braking these days. The key is to not upset the suspension by either accelerating in a corner or braking too abruptly.
