Iceland are the best supported Country in the World, out of a population of 327,000 just over 30,000 fans traveled to France to watch them play in the 2016 Euros the second biggest sporting event in the World(World Cup is first) that is about 9% of the population if 9% of the American population were to travel for a sporting event that would be around 30,000,000 fans, way to go Iceland.
Guys I understand your line of thinking after all you are used to watching netball and rounders and also a pussified game of Rugby but all that aside highly technical and fast moving games do leave you bewildered some of the best games have been scoreless draws but if you can not comprehend the game it is easy to see why you stick with netball and rounders they are simple games for simple people.
Now who are the real men?????????
How about for a start they show how much time is remaining.
Seriously, I find soccer much like hockey. Great sport in person, on TV, not so much. I suspect its popularity will increase as more and more children who have played the sport grow up. When I was young, boys did not play soccer. Outside of MMA, I am not much of a fan of any sport I did not participate in at some level.

I'm the same way but have surprised myself by starting to like baseball. I did play football in High School and enjoyed it but have really never been a fan of any professional sport. It always drives me crazy when fans say WE did this or that. WE did not do anything. THEY, your team did. My wife got really upset when I told her this saying a team is nothing without it's fans. Good point I suppose.
i can not sit down and watch an NFL game with out falling a sleep but last year I was invited to go to a New orleans forty niners game and boy did I have a good time, great atmosphere lots of nutters running around etc etc
Only complaint why does 60min take 4hrs????????? i know the TV rules the sports here and money talks but it is one long game with no action for 80% of the game
Good point. I went to a local college game once and couldn't believe they stopped the game for commercials. I don't think baseball has that problem. I'm still learning how the game works and occasionally joke with my wife who is the hard core fan that it would be more fun if the batter could take the bat with him around the bases. Earned me "the look"
