Hi Captains with Corbin Beetle Bags. You don't have to look for that penlight everytime you need to get something out of your Beetle Bags at night.
I bought these battery powered lights at Advance Auto and some 1/16" brass sheeting and cut out my own brackets and bent them just a little to get the light up out the way and angled toward the interior of the bag. I mounted it by R&R the plastic bolt on the latch to secure the brass bracket, I did have to put a plastic spacer underneath the bracket to secure the latch to the bag (like it was before) and bring the bracket out a little to clear the lid and it works great. If you can find another plastic bolt like the original that would be even better. Also smear a little RTV around on each side of the plastic bolt so it won't come loose. Remember when you stick the lights (3M self-stick) onto the brackets that you cut out a little area on the bracket around the screws (on the backing of the lights)that hold the batteries in so you can remove it and change the batteries without removing the lights from the bracket. I also added little extra adhesive to make sure the lights don't come off in case they get hot and the self-stick glue melts.
