I know we have covered this before but...........I need a replacement battery again after one year of use on the last one. I used an AGM style. Gr3ywolf used a new lithium ion style and it took a dump after a year. Are freezing temps taking these batteries out ? Smaller case than a car battery. Just thinking out loud. What works for you ?

Battery tender.
I replaced the original battery in my '07 last year and typically get at least 4-5 years out of my motorcycle batteries.
Deltran Battery Tender Junior is well worth the money.
Stay away from the cheap Harbor Freight units.

I pull the battery out of my bikes and store them in the house for the winter. Not much point lurking a tender on it for 6 plus months. I normally top up the charge one over the winter and just before I reinstall the battery. It seems I get 5 years or so out of a battery

I've said it before there is no way of telling how long a battery has been sitting on the shelf or in some warehouse waiting for a buyer. I used to have the worst luck with batteries till i started buying the battery and the acid seperately. I've been told as soon as the acid is added the battery starts to age. I always keep it on the tender 24/7 also. The beast will suck the life out of batteries if not maintained at 12 volts...JMO

I think longevity is all over the map, some get only 3 years, others claim 8 or 9 years, on the same make and model.

I agree with TrIIIck, the battery age starts as soon as the acid is poured in. I use yuasa brand an get about 4 yrs out of them...I monitor the voltage from new and fully charged and as time goes by, you can see the resting voltage slowly going lower and lower...finally it's either change it out or get stuck somewhere.

Same thing I do with the exception of leaving it in the bike exposed to below zero temps this past winter. Won't do that again. Onward to the next battery I reckon. Will check out a local Yuasa shop or the Asheville Triunph shop.

I did getvan Interstate branded battery and poured the acid in to it per the instructions. Don't thinkit was all that much better. Maybe Sams Club for a battery. What the heck, can't be any worse.
