sagging bags

I made bag stiffners by using plastic three sixteenth of an inch thick and cut and bent them into the shape of my bags and bolted them in place with the bags mounts. you can bend that plastic in a metal brake no problem. i just took some cardboard and cut it into place across the back and bottom and then bend it for the bag and it has held it's shape for four years now. i could send a pic if anyone is interested in seeing that.

Bronco post up a pic of the stiffeners that you made, while Flip seems to be a good guy and all, I can't really afford to buy his right now, so I have made some of my own, but would like to see other ideas.

"'Ive had my leatherlyke hard bags for 3 yrs and they still look and operate as new. Worth the money ($450)"

+1. Not totally waterproof, but they don´t claim to be.

You said it better Todd. +1

Regulator has a nice set for sale. Someone should grab them.
You tell 'em Gasket. By the way...way to go earning your fourth helmet...just don't go and turn into a billy.

The Hepco and Becker are really good. Unfortunately they weren´t available when I bought my Leatherlykes.
Had them for about 8 years on my Thunderbird and my Kawa Zephyr 1100.
Absolutely watertight.

I have K-Drive bags and found them to be perfect! They look good, hold their shape and..., are waterproof! Substantially cheaper then Triumph bags!

They're saddleBAGS, not saddleBOXES. They're good quality leather, and put together well. They've got character, and develop a fine patina that no Corbin Beetlebag will ever know. They're real.

The Pony Express is ancient history. The Beetle Bags are more expensive but modern like the Rocket. Besides they make my ass look PHAT. :D

Bags

:D I received my supports for the Triumph bags from Flipmeister the bags were a lumpy disaster and I swear, after the supports for a total of $60.00, the look as good as they did after six months from new. Save ALOT of money and invest wisely in these amazing supports. Well done. Thanks for the tip.
