Bad axle seal?

Like the others have said. Just normal weepage. Long rides and heat tend to make the grease much more viscous, lending itself to produce these kinds of dirty grease marks. Not to worry!

Here's mine after 5,000 miles after removing/reinstalling rear wheel.

ya but I see you spell pretty good for a retired ground pounder :D
Had to stick that in as the boy is coming home this week to visit prior to going to Korea. I know its not the sand but then we have had ride for soldier's who died in Iraq that were stationed in Germany. I sure hope he don't come home in a pine box :?

Lol! Well, when the going get's tough, we all have to stick together; squids and ground ponders alike

Godspeed with your son going to Korea. That was a "Very" fun place back in '78 when I was there. I lived and was "treated" like a king by the young women in the 'ville. Not sure how it is since Korea modernized since. I'm sure your boy will get into some "mischief" All in good fun...

Kindest regards,

-Will

I suppose I am looking for trouble where there is none, but just want to be absolutely sure my beast is functioning as designed. Don't want to go "rocketing" down the road and have a component go "tits up" on me....

That is a term I hope to never hear again, especially if I'm in a clinic and they are talking about me. I spent a little time in the "Land of morning calm" as well. I was at Camp Casey with the 1/17 Inf (Buffalos) around the town/village of Dong Du Chon. I had a great time in Korea, and I wonder just how much it has changed since '85-'86 when I was there. And Warp I hope your boy is safe as well, Korea is no picnic and it gets hairy at times, but AFAIK it's still the best kept secret in the Army.
