Probly bin asked before but I,ll ask agian any down side to doing this avon on the front and metz on rear :?:

Yes, you've paid too much for both.

None what so ever axel you'll just notice more front grip then the Meztler has. I run both and they are a good bike tire.

Yes I paid twice wat you folks in the states would have paid 270 for the avon on the front and 495 for the mets on the rear+ 13% tax and a enviro fee. I might go to the dark side soon

Since I added the Michelin 225 on the rear I have not had one negative issue with the stock metz on the front..no cupping or anything..just normal wear but with almost 3 k on the Michelin (with almost no sign of wear) and about 7k on the metz will need a new front tire by mid winter..do any of you captains have recommendations of other choices for the front??....

Im with you there.

Iv just put a new set on. Avon up front after the old one covered 15,000 miles being paired with the mighty Toyo Proxes 225 which had 20,000 miles on it.
The best combo ever.....

I think I may take your recommendation on the front Avon instead of the Metz when I replace mine. Do you find it stickier in the twisties? The Metz is hard as a ****ed rock!
