Anyone have a suggestion for this ?

Maybe a rolling event across some states?

It wasn't supposed to show a date. The date and location will be voted on.

Someone remove it please.

Northeast/Fingerlakes might be nice? Slightly biased.

For the adventurer.
I hooked up with the Victory 'V2V' annual ride once. They rode Hwy 50 across the country. I just did Nevada...(Loneliest Hwy)
Riding the Lincoln Hwy (30) would be fun. 20 runs from NY to Oregon. There is always Route 66. Then 89 runs Mexico to Canada. All have a lot of off the slab, history and entertainment

Black Hills of South Dakota has a lot to offer. From Devils Tower, to the Bad Lands. Days and of great rides and some really awesome attractions and shows. Wife and I went to the Sturgis Rally on 2008. Spent about half an afternoon walking the tents and street venders. Then spent 4 days riding the area. The riding there was great, even with a half million slow H-D riders blocking the roads.

There is so much to do and see. Here is just a small sample.

Devil's Tower area has many good rides out there. You can free climb the tower up to the rubble pile without a permit.

Mt Rushmore is very cool daytime attraction and they have a nice patriotic show at night.

Crazy Horse is another great attraction during the day and they also have a night laser show that is fun.

Custer State Park has the Needles Highway with the Eye of the Needle tunnel. There are several other parks in the area.

Deadwood I think they have casinos.

Jewel Cave Fun in the dark underground.

Bad Lands oddly fun landscape and some interesting roads.

Speaking of which, Anyone masochistic enough to go to Sturgis this year. Check out the University in Spearfish for really reasonable rooms (empty dorms) offered. One week at the college is equal to two nights in a motel. Triumph has their trailer at Buffalo Chip with all the bells and whistles. We got really good leathers for a quarter of dealership cost.

As a bonus, Sturgis is a mere 30 miles or so from the geographical center of the United States, Belle Fourche SD (including AK and HI). A little bit further from the geographical center of North America which is Rugby SD, about 450 miles away.

Just some useless trivia because I am bored this AM.

I have had an idea of a series that would move across country as the season kicks in. The schedule would allow someone to do the whole ride, start to finish, or just do one or more of the multiple locations, for those that still have jobs or other anchors. This would really make RAA live up to its name.

But that idea is prob'ly just a daydream....

Practically speaking, the conventional "home base" location is still the best for simplicity.

I could easily envision an Appalachian venue, other than the Smokies. Nothing wrong with the roads there but it's crowded compared to areas around say Beckley or Lewisburg WV. BUT my criteria is the riding, I don't give a crap about sightseeing or alternative activities...not everyone is like me.

If I had to nail it down to one location in the country, I'd vote for northern California.

At either Northern CA or mid-Appalachians, it would be easy to have 2 or 3 locations if you wanted a rolling venue.

2 days @ 3 different stops or 3 days @ 2 different stops are possibilities.
