I would be helpful -- I complained to them that they left a part out and I had to run to the local auto parts store -- if you live where there is access to odds and ends if you need them.
They say a practiced installer should be able to do it in four hours. I like to take my time, and took all weekend -- including time to really study the beautiful instructions -- study the bike -- study the instructions some more until I could "see" myself performing the next step or three -- similar to how some surgeons and astronauts visualize their tasks. Mostly overkill from a necessity perspective, but I do it for the enjoyment -- an extension of my childhood when we made roads in the Alabama red clay for our Matchbox (made in England back then) cars -- and then bored of the activity after the roads were finished.
