Anybody got a tape measure?

can anybody help me out here, i need the width of the base of the engine (flat part)..

seeing as i have to wait another 171 days to get my rocket, i cant measure it myself. i need the width as i'm buying a bike lift thing for jacking up bikes, need to make sure it will be wide enough to suit jacking up the rocket.

Don't have a tape measure that measures in mm's.
but the jack you're looking at will work.
Mine looks just like it and is from Sears, a craftsman brand,
but they're all the same, even the harbor freight one will work..

..can't remember exactly skip..only a few bucks I think..I was kinda surprised when I saw them...tractor supply, made in china..they are actually made for a farm gate I believe..wonder if they'll hold up the beast?..I haven't tried them yet..

love my BIG BLUE! its so quick to attach and lifts the bike like its a moped.
Its a one for all piece of kit, any bike any weight

..quick to attach????..are you serious..i find it's a real pita to even get those fkn adapter plates to line up with the bike brackets it's almost impossible..and the bike teeters around on it when it is finally up in the air..no way would I even attempt to sit on it...and $700 US dollars too?..I musta been high when I bought that **** thing..oh, and not to mention that raising it up and down with a drill..Ha!..mine won't even begin to do that..even with a 1/2" electric drill..I gotta use a fkn 1/2" drive ratchet..pisses me off to even think about it..I might take it to the scrap yard today..:lol:..

Odd how we all seem to end up with similar stuff. Must make myself one of those "redneck" plates. Together with the strong-arm (from the Eazy Rizer folk)

Though The best system I've seen is Sams. The forklift adapter plate.

yep, the one in my link. i asked the man selling them what is the length of the lifting arms on them, he says approx 450mm, then asks me what i have. i say a 1100 v star but i'll have a rocket 3 in 6 months.. and he says, well, i have a road king... yeah, a ROAD KING. and it fits fine. i just thought to myself, do i have to break the news to him that his little harley aint as big as the rocket? :tumble: lol
