Just had the small $5 spring changed behind the clutch basket as 1 to 3 kept popping out of gear, hard to find neurtal.
First and second gear could be held if I kept pressure on the shifter.

However, my surprise came during new rubber change.
Noise from the rear wheel seemed strange to my dealer who opened the cush drive area to find this.......

I have had pulsing in my rear brake for some time. As a consequence I didn't use the rear brake much at all.
Don't know what went first, cush drive rubber compressed taking out the seal, the wearing on the outside of the hub, then the bearing.... or improperly fitted bearing which slowly wore out the inside of the hub then taking out the cush drive rubbers.
The bearing is not siezed.

I found a 2005 wheel which is hopefully complete with the exclusion of the brake rotor.
Will check for runout of the brake rotor when mounted to new wheel to see if the deflection I saw on the old wheel still exists as the worn inside of the hub will give the same condition.
There is no maintenance I can find for these components. I hate to think that every 110,000km I'm going to need a whole new wheel assembly.

I will be taking video of the old and new wheel for all.

I refuse to be kept from my trip which was to start today but, hope to resume this wednesday. Wheel comes in tomorrow.

Hope it works well are you going to be able to get the other one repaired ?

Axel, thanks for the support.

But no old rim has a ground out inside of the hub. It's toast, perhaps good as a planter?... I'll ask the wife.

New..... the tire is mounted and all is well.
In fact I have reused my old brake rotor and guess what...... no more pulsing.
The Pulsing came from the worn out hub being ground away from the outside bearing race.

If anyone has pulsing in rear end please check your cush drive area an left side hub bearing.

Leaving on our bike trip Thursday. /;-)
