Have you had your alternator off yet?? In the middle of the upgrade kit and need to know how to release the taper lock on the stator once the bolt is removed. There is another "special" tool that looks like the same bolt with maybe a pointed end and a shoulder. What have you used??? Thanks for the help-- and my GOD the pieces that have to come off just to get the engine out
If you remove the motor, doesn't the rest of the bike just fall apart? lol
Sorry I can't help with the alt, my service manual doesn't even show it past the special tool. Evidently the taper seating inside is only released with the tool, must have something to do with the length like a gear puller. Man, I hope I never have to dive into that mess. Good luck.
