ABS light

Better still, Bubz. When you get them on, ride your bike to Canberra and show me.
Or at least make sure they're on for Nabiac. They do look good.

Crap still can't post more than 1 pic...
The link in previous post works but labeled as home ???

I know a lot of other people have done it but more than 1 person advised me against the powder coating stating that why would you subject your wheels to that kind of heat when there are other and better alternatives.
Before anyone jumps on that statement saying they have had no probs it was just an opinion..

Painting the inner areas the same colour as bike was and Idea I was tossing around, Looks Good!!! is the rest of the rim clear coated

I know Ponters has his powder coated. He has a small section around the circumstance left un coated. Looks good and no chance of chipping when tyres changed.

hey Bubz is the shiny part painted with a clear coat or is just bare like from factory?

Mate Canberra is not on the list at the mo. be lucky to leave town with bike in tack.
You got some dodgy people living down there..
They will be on for Nabiac for sure even if I have to do some burn outs to get rid of the last set of tyres..

Was looking at "black" but then I thought everyone has done that.
I thought about New England white and red... Then a Barber pole came to mind.
Yep they are clear coated with a few coats and said to be as maintenance free as possible.
Here's hoping anyway

So the clear is Polly Urethane is it or just normal Acrylic

I'm pretty sure Ponters told me his wheels were painted I may be wrong I'm sure he'll pipe up and put us straight.

ok now im mad, i was told by the best powdercoating outfit on this island that they'd clearcoat mine (wanted to keep the stock look but without all the oxidation) then when i took a week off work and showed up with my 2 rims they say ahm no ya cant clear coat bare aluminum alloy as its too smooth, the coat will fall off due to no grip.
they'd have to roughen it up first with sandblast but then id have a matt gray look instead of shiny aluminum.
bunch of douchebags.

/end rant

Ok I knew half the answer so I had to make a call to get it just right so I don't get a rodgering for being wrong
The clear is DuPont 2k acrylic with h5 hardener and is covered by a DuPont lifetime warranty.
He reckons they should stay looking new for my lifetime at least.
And any tyre changer worth a pinch of sh1t will not mark them (at least if they are forewarned of the consequences if they do)

R-III-R Turbo
Which island are we talking about??
This guy Michael at magit wheels totally stands behind what he does,
And as I mentioned he cnc machined them and they are smoooooth as
