Abs bleed

I installed Dealertool to bleed the abs system. A job in itself.
I get to the bleed abs, alls good until I hit bleed brakes, then I get ECU??
At hitting bleed brakes the bike clicks and buzzes, so it seems that something is happening.
still the ECU?? concerns me.
The brakes just don't seem very hard after bleeding.
How much bleeding should I need to do to effectively bleed the ABS?
