Could someone pls tell me what is the difference with the upgraded parts and what it consists of for the tranny I have a black motor it's 2006 I don't want to end up buying old stock, Just about to order some dog rings and gears and is it normal to have more slop in second gear on the output shaft

Order new year, all the same, the new dogs have more teeth, that’s probably all you can get now. If youre going into trans, maybe Robinson billet forth. Definitely new circlips, new shims, id think about 3 new shifter forks, all that stuff wears. Red loctite shifter bolt. A few things

Just saw this, nobody answered? Rounded dogs will allow it to slip, then catch, not sure what you mean by slop?
Hello Tripps

Sorry for the late reply, with this being an old post and job now completed thanks to some use full help from R111 turbo the 2nd gear slop I ireffered to when on and off the throttle turned out to be the old 4 dog system knocking back and forth

I replaced all parts required from triumph over here but ended up with the same setup tired of waiting to get back on the road I put it back together as its only used for long jaunts so I don't really notice that much, I was just abit weary of it being something a bit more sinister waiting for me down the road

Does anybody have the part number for the latest 8 dog version for 2nd gear, being that T1180444 is the only one listed in the Triumph dealership here that said I didn't expect to get suckered by the dealer so I didn't check myself or at the least thought if that was the case surely they'd be an option
