Hi guys I have a rocket 3 GT with 2777 klms on it and sometimes while accelerating it won’t shift usually between 4 to 5 sometimes to 6 it’s back at the dealer now to check it out they think it just may need some adjustments
All good now a few adjustments no problem
I was keeping tension on the shifter so it wasn’t going back to the neutral position so not quite selecting the next gear
adjusted the shifter now running sweet

Seems to be a common practice. Keeping tension on the shifter means that moving parts are in constant contact with each other which will cause premature wear.
Like keeping your foot on the clutch pedal in a car...not a good practice either.

Curious, why would he need lessons in riding for commenting positive observations on another's riding habits. Everything he stated is true. You never keep your foot on a brake. You cover your clutch on a motorcycle but don't engage until needed to shift and constant pressure on a gear shift can and does cause premature wear and it could possibly jump into gear. So how many lessons do you think he needs since you have never seen him ride?
You know nothing about me yet from my technical and correct comment you can deduce I need riding lessons? Maybe you can also give me some lotto numbers?
