Jeff look for a post by Matty tune boy has been working on his ride and he has already got rid of the water heaters they call mufflers. you will gain more by putting a diferent muffler on her. I suggest some stainless pipe from a good muffler shop and a can of your choice like say one from berns stainless or a good Cabon fiber one will match the black look good. If you can get rid of the tractor header it sure would help. Look the the post a picture of your R3 you will see many different ideas from all over.

Get rid of the stock exhaust system with the CAT. Put a performance system on...I used Jardines and a Power Commander III fuel management system and a K&N air filter..
The bike just comes alive because of the huge weight eduction and better flow. The bike is a new animal..trust me.
