15w50 mobile1 oil full syn.

According to Gus at Baxter's, any JASO certified full synthetic will work fine. Triumph has transitioned to the Castrol brand (a little cheaper) and I have used Amsoil in the past.

Be careful to buy the JASO Mobil 1, not regular Mobil 1, IMHO. I think you have to buy the Mobil 1 motorcycle oil in order to get this certification. Mobil itself doesn't recomend using the regular Mobil 1 in bikes. I ran Mobil 1 for a while myself. 'Course that Rocket went on to have the dreaded output bearing failure...:)
Valvoline, Shell Rotella, etc., are commonly available at auto parts stores and are JASO certified.

I am having a hard time getting this oil, its the only oil I've used in my R3 since I bought it in "04. Anyone have a line on this oil?

You can get the 10W40 version at Autozone. Look for MX4T Mobil 1 and you can get it by the quart (get 5 minimum).

Any good synth motorcycle oil will do. They are not like HDs that need special Harley oil. Shell and Motul are brands that both make an oil to suit a Triumph.

You need to find an ISO number for your oil or use a specific motorcycle oil 15w 40 only refers to the viscosity of the oil you need to find an oil that has
compatible additive package
I have used a regular multigrade oil in a motorcycle before and found myself shelling out for a new clutch because the oil had ep additives which caused the clutch to slip so again make sure you use a motorcycle oil or ask an oil supplier for recommended oil and get it in writing otherwise they will say anything
