  1. The lowest seat for R3, any suggestions?

Also have short legs. Just a few comments from my efforts and experiences: Tried having the seat reworked, but it's hard to get it right. Worked ok for around town, but not for distances. Tried the Corbin seat and it didn't work for me. The lower-cut Triumph seat works. Great around...
  2. touring luggage

Removable Givi box, custom mounted, holds two full-faced helmets or helmet and jacket. Removable hard side boxes from a Yamaha; custom mounted. Although my bike is set up solo the Givi box has a pad that can be mounted as a backrest for the back rider.
  3. Rivco risers, Cables too short.

Same here. I found strategic use of small cable ties helped.
  4. "Crash bars" question....

Are these the ones you would get now from a dealer? Is there an aftermarket that has value?
  5. "Crash bars" question....

Did a search to see if this had been covered already and couldn't find it. If you know of a good thread where this has been covered please let me know. I'm hearing mixed recommendations on the "crash bars" (front and/or rear) on the Rocket. Will they, in fact, protect the bike and rider...
  6. 10K service check and the shim check

Either that or they didn't expect anyone riding a Rocket to live long enough to reach 60,000 !!  OR they had no intentions of the bike lasting longer than that!! OR ?????????
  7. TORS SHORTENED

That does look good. How does it affect the tone?
  8. Bolts coming loose?These work!

The Triumph dealer here was surprised to hear that I had lost one. He agreed with Mike - normally the problem is heat-melding to the pipes so that you can't get them out!!

  10. Cutting Down The Bear Claw

  11. TORS

    ohhh.....
  12. TORS

My TORS didn't come with the asbestos inserts needed with all three replacement pipes. Used the ones out of the standard pipes. Mine were a bit tricky to get out without damaging them. Don't know if this is true in every case....
  13. Windshields. Which one?

    Enjoy your ride!!
  14. Windshields. Which one?

Hey Willtill. Just saw your note.... I have an extra Triumph windshield laying around that I'm thinking about selling. Not perfect, but in very nice condition. Don't have an extra fixing kit on hand. Could let it go for 325 + shipping if you want it instead of buying a new one....
  15. Rick Mayer seat feedback/Radar Detectors . . . ??

Hi all - Had Rick make me a solo seat last Spring. Decided on the vinyl rather than leather. Doing well.
  16. Proper Clearview shield size.

I also use a full-face helmet. Usually ride closed. With the CS I can ride with my shield up. It's very enjoyable. The vent flow isn't much (no attic fan!!), but with my face shield up I can tell a difference between open and closed. You're certainly correct that if you're hoping for a jet...
  17. Proper Clearview shield size.

5'8". Had the Triumph windscreen 1" below eyeline with lower deflectors. Still had buffeting. Better with lowers than without. Now have the 25" Clearview + vent. Was concerned about looking through the screen, but I love it!! NO buffeting!! Highly recommend. Nice to be able to adjust the air...
  18. need power for sat radio

I ran wiring from my HB mounted gps and my new horns. Routed from the front. Remove the bear claw, left side cover, and loosen/remove two plastic covers. There are wires running from the front to the battery/fuse box area. Use black cable-ties to hold the wire to another cable running that way...
