Triumph Factory Tour...and a cheap feel of the new Rocket 3 TFC Engine!

Shavings used in cans, so aluminum engine components? Thinner block. All makes it sound lighter. The more I hear about this thing the more I start drooling.

    Spy shots new rocket

All that and a little bit more. I credit it with potentially saving my life. Was struck by a car in a roundabout. The front forks picked the car up and put it on the sidewalk, ripping the front tire off the left front wheel in the process. Forks did not bend. Got her back upright and she fired...

    Spy shots new rocket

Waiting for the full reveal to put my money down on a pre-order myself. Only thing I'm waiting for is confirmation of price tag and weight. Rumor of an all aluminum chassis has me VERY excited as the weight is the only thing I don't like about my current one. The only sad part is I will have to...

    LED headlights / fog lights

Running the Funloves myself. VAST improvement over stock and can't argue with the price. As many have pointed out, tight fit. Best improvement for under $100 bucks you'll make and I did it because I needed to replace a lightbulb anyway.

    Passenger Backrest Parts? Help!

Tall Sissy Bar & Luggage Rack replacement parts for 2012 Triumph ROCKET III ROADSTER This was recommended for my 2016 R3R and has worked great. The site overall is a great resource. I hope this helps.

    Insurance Claim Humor

I'm with you. I'm in IT so my hands and brain must function at all times. The three pieces of gear you will never see me without is gloves and brain bucket and my armored jeans. I can deal with a bit of road rash but I needs my hands, my brain and my dangly bits intact so I wrap'em in kevlar!

Brilliant! Now I'll only consider buying one if the inventor himself does a week long trial doing a daily commute in Arizona in July.

Self canceling turn signals from Touring on a Roadster, anyone do it? Tips?

Thanks for the info! It will definitely be on the table if the dealer comes back with a no go or is insanely priced. (Very possible with Triumph) I'm on the uncool side of the state.

Self canceling turn signals from Touring on a Roadster, anyone do it? Tips?

Just pinged my mechanic @ the dealer, he's never had that request before so he's shooting an email off to Triumph to find out what would be involved. Sounds like yet again I came up with an oddball request, go figure. I'll let you guys know what I find out, probably won't be for a few days.

Self canceling turn signals from Touring on a Roadster, anyone do it? Tips?

Yep, I've looked through some of those posts, it's actually where I got the idea. Mine's a 2016 Roadster and no self cancelers. If I can avoid yet another box hiding under my seat I'd really prefer that. Was hoping the solution they use on your Touring can be transplanted making it a hybrid, The...

Self canceling turn signals from Touring on a Roadster, anyone do it? Tips?

So I'm a HD transplant and got used to the self canceling turn signals on them. Was looking into various aftermarket options and don't love any of them. I know the Touring has them so I was wondering if it would be possible to move the assembly and electronics over. Any ideas would be greatly...

I said I would never do it, but...........

I think for some purposes such as straight line acceleration and deceleration the Dark Side has an edge but the fact that in the twisties in particular it would be deficient makes sense. If it's so great why is there an entire industry built around motorcycle tires? We're willing to believe the...

I said I would never do it, but...........

That was what I was waiting to hear. While the R3R isn't the most agile machine around she's still fun enough in the corners and living in twistie country I would hate to lose that. The loss of fine control by shifting weight etc. would particularly drive me nuts. While I was tempted by the Dark...

    New Rocketeer

I just know that hell hath no fury like a woman scorned so I keep her happy. In exchange she lets me get fun toys like the new Rocket. If a sissy bar is the price I must pay so be it!

Oh yeah! Dabble in a little bit of everything but got 2 cats named after Star Wars. BB-8 because he's got a bent antenna (kinked tail) and Yub Nub because the little dude looks like an Ewok. Also like speedy things, current car is an 07 Subaru STi. Down for a ride any time. Actually got a trip...

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. So far I'm loving the new bike and have 0 regrets. Now looking for a heat solution for the Zard exhaust. That sucker gets HOT. Saw a post from SteveR from a few years ago talking about it, hoping to resurrect him.
