    R3 Racing Cam Chain

As you can imagine, my R3 engine uses much stronger valve springs. One of the things I'm concerned about is the stock cam chain. IMO better to source a stronger chain than replace the cam chain for every race. Precision cam chains which are heat treated, hard coated and 30% stronger can be...

    Pile 'o' Junk Sale

Hurry! Hurry! Get this pile of junk that I removed from my RACING R3 while you can!! No reasonable offer refused... it won't last long!! (just jokin') :D Hmmm... now what did I put in that huge space that opened up behind my engine?

    Lambda Lambda Lambda

That's right... I've joined that NERD Fraternity. :D Actually I've replaced my stock ECU with a Motec M84. Aside from being a much faster ECU than the stock Keihin, the M84 provides closed loop fuel & ignition control, boost control & integral data logging. It also allows the use of a 3 bar MAP...

    APE Cam Sprockets

APE will be releasing adjustable cam sprockets for the R3 shortly (end of February). These will enable those setting their own cam timing to simply buy good adjustable sprockets rather than machining slots in the stock gears... less expensive too. APE - World's Fastest Motorcycle Racing...

    7800 rpm

I've reset my rev limit to 7850 RPM, in preparation for a dyno run to 7800 on Monday. I need to see how close we get to the theoretical speed (by gearing) of 208 MPH in 5th gear @ 7800 RPM. If we can't do it on the dyno, we sure won't do it on the track. Other SC R3 owners please note: DO NOT...

    Improved Aeros

Those with a sharp eye will discern that the upper fairing has been moved forward and down considerably. This narrows the gap between fairing and fender wing, blanking out lower triple tree from airflow, and creating an overall smaller frontal profile. Handlebars are also dropped further, and...

    Request Trailer Advice

I'm considering a larger race trailer that has a kitchen, full bath, and convertible dinette. Several people have told me that they regretted buying larger "toy hauler" type trailers because they subsequently seldom used the living quarters. I'd be interested in the opinion of anyone here with...

    Barnett Cables

I had Barnett build some stainless cables 4" shorter than stock. Needed because my stock cables were binding with the race risers and dropped bars. The Barnett cables are a huge improvement in quality over stock Triumph crap... silky smooth. Inner clutch cable is teflon coated.

    9 Second R3

Where is the high 9 second R3 these days?!? I'm speaking of the Carpenter Racing R3 that should be making sub 10 sec passes at Atco Dragway. If anybody can do this it would be Art... we need an update!

    MTC Clutch Fibers

MTC has come through with their improved fibers kit for the R3 clutch. Here are photos courtesy of Scott (Warp9.9); MTC fibers on left, Triumph fibers on right. Scott's busy installing these in his SC R3 right now... look for his ride report. Now where the hell is the MTC billet clutch...

    R3 Racing Risers

There are no clip-ons that will fit the fat R3 fork tubes. Therefore I designed these risers that place the handlebars forward of the upper triple tree. These will put you "in the paint" (steering damper and riding skill required).
