    I bought mine because of it's low center of gravity. 8 years and still undropped. Where as my Trophy 1200 was top heavy and dropped twice. My 675 Street triple is a different game. It handles like my 750 Norton.

    Bought my Rocket in 2005. I then Waxoyled all electric switches, relays and terminals. 0 problems. No corrosion, no failures. It also lubricates switches. Did the same to my1973 Norton. It still runs as new. I have no issue with Lucas. Waxoyl is British.

  5. It,s getting bad

    Harleys are of no concern to me. My rocket blows them away. My Street triple 675cc does it too. My Norton was dominate until the Z1. Harley is all noise and no go.

    I don't need a dealer. I do all the work on my machines and get the parts on the internet. never used a warranty. I still ride my Norton. The whole company went out. gary

    I change the oil in my engines when I think it is time. I have 50 years of experience to do it. No one puts a wrench or instrument on any of my machines but me. And that includes my body. No doctor gets a dime. gary

    I am admonished. My Streettriple has two, So I leave two on my 05 Rocket. It was just an impulse. In the old days I put Hella halogen on my Norton, to see better and farther. Gary.

    I use this oil in all my engines. Mobil 1 5W-40 Turbo Diesel Truck oil. It has more zinc and handles high diesel loads. Just bought 5 gallons from Mjeiers for $114. gary

    I use Mobil 1 exclusively in all my engines. This after many years of trials. I change oil once a year. However, none of my engines mileage exceed 7k. I consider this excellent maintenance. Bikes get 4T cars get 0-40 and lawn tractors 15-50...

  13. Crappy fuel mileage, or help a brotha out....

    I have about 14K on my 05 R3. I average 40mpg. I have gotten as high as 51mpg when riding with harleys....

  14. Engine diagnostics OBD2

    Can anyone tell me if the standard OBD2 system can be used on the R3? Or is the Triumph tool required and if so, is it available...? Thanks, Gary in Ohio

    I test rode the R3 and bought it. I modified controls and seating to give me a sport/tourer. I find it easier to ride than my Trophy. Fuel mileage varies from 36 when dicing and to 51 when riding with Harlies. Now I rode my nephews 1050 Tiger...may buy that too....Gary

  17. How to lift your Rocket

    Car hoist I use an auto two post hoist. Nylon strap through frame top attached to one hoist leg. Very stable.

  18. triumph windshield

    Installed Windvest's largest. Run bike to 130 and tucked behind it. Quite good with excellent strength. My bike is modified with rearsets from Rask.

  19. Oil Leak from tank

    I had the same problem, leak under oil tank. Dealer addressed problem under warranty. Still have very minor leakage. Will take care of it this winter myself..need something to do.
