My attempt to make the GT an actual GT

Wow, that's more mileage than I'll ever get!! Your experience counts for a lot more than mine does. This bike is different than other bikes that people intentionally put bar end mirrors on. With the Rocket, you have to put effort into replacing them, and I can understand why owners don't (It's...

Upset with Corbin, paid, yet received nothing in 12 weeks

Having been in the small batch aftermarket parts business, I think I know what they're doing and it's slimy. They're completely out of stock on the raw fairing, so they're taking peoples money until they have enough orders to justify a production run. Definitely not the way I do business., but...

    USB not working?

According to the service manual, the fuse is the same one that supplies the front DIN, which as I said, works fine. Is there another one somewhere? Yes, bike on, which is necessary for front DIN to work as well. Thanks

    USB not working?

Before I start tearing apart the rear end of my bike, are there any common failure points (fuse, connector, etc) for the rear cubby USB port? Tried mine for the first time and there's no power out of it. Everything else on the bike works fine including the front DIN plug.

For Sale SOLD - OBDSTAR ISCAN Triumph Diagnostic Scanner

It's sort of "clunky" to use and I can't find the ABS Bleed feature anywhere. Pretty much everything else I an do with TuneEcu. .....I know that 2 days after I sell this one, I'll find something I can only do with this device and I'll kick myself....

    Key and FOB reprogramming

FYI The OBDSTAR worked great for programming keys. Decided it's served it purpose, so if anyone wants a Triumph OBDSTAR like new, I've got it listed: https://www.r3owners.net/threads/obdstar-iscan-triumph-diagnostic-scanner.54897/

For Sale SOLD - OBDSTAR ISCAN Triumph Diagnostic Scanner

I bought this because my local Triumph dealer wanted crazy $$$ to program some new keys for my GT. This worked well for that, but I just don't have any other real use for it. So you get it new in box for over $100 off. $269 shipped, anywhere in the USA. In fact, I just got it though before...

    Meerkat Exhaust Mod

Ugh, I thought I took more picks but the only one that saved was half way through gutting it. Not pretty but it gives you an idea. The cut is from one line of spot welds to the other. Then you have to cut the converter open, but no need to re weld the converter, and I opened up the passages...

    Meerkat Exhaust Mod

Wow, you found one that someone actually wanted to get out of their garage! I ended up paying $500, but I agree with you that everything else on the aftermarket looks like crap and all four other exhausts on ebay were $800+ so I paid what I had to pay to not experiment on my stock exhaust...

    Exhaust + tune

Awesome! That's the first custom exhaust or slip on for this bike that looks like it belongs. I also wonder about heat. Stock exhaust roast my thighs at times. I imagine this requires Nomex pants and boots.

Noco a good alternative to yuasa?

AntiGravity (my goto choice) has an 8ah that will fit https://antigravitybatteries.com/products/starter-batteries/restart-oem/atx12-hd-rs/ But even that is effectively much less reserve than the stock battery. They make a true 15ah that will fit, but only if you put it on it's side and extend...

Noco a good alternative to yuasa?

It's not that it doesn't fit, it's that it is less than half (actually a quarter) of the capacity of the stock battery. In fact, it is the same capacity as the tiny battery I have in my track bike that runs nothing but the ignition circuit, and the manufacturer was even hesitant to recommend...

Noco a good alternative to yuasa?

First, I'll reiterate what Gimlet said, as it needs repeating: Motorcycle lithium batteries are NOT the chemistry that can cause runaway fires!!! They are LifePo4, which are VERY stable. I throw that out there again, as this sort of mis-information causes a lot of issues with apartments, HOAs...

How did you get it to fit on our 1.25in handlebars?

My attempt to make the GT an actual GT

I used these mirrors https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DM7XY8YN with these mounts Led Light Bar Clamps 1.25 Inch -Pack 4,Tube Clamp Mount Kit 1-1/4 B | eBay but I heavily modified the mounts to fit tighter and for the mirror to screw in closer to the center. The problem is the 1.25in bars that have a...

My attempt to make the GT an actual GT

No doubt, but I already have 4 bikes and am used to traveling on even smaller bikes. I do like the new Indians. Also, like this weekend, where I headed for the mountains, ALL my road tripping is to get to places that are fun to ride. No, the Rocket is not as fun in the twisties as my Ducati...

My attempt to make the GT an actual GT

I’m sure there’s something here for everyone to hate. Here are my efforts to make the GT a real GT: First, I despise every aftermarket windscreen for this bike. WHY would we use the number plate mounting for a real screen? They all look stupid and none are really functional. My normal...

    Meerkat Exhaust Mod

Since the exhaust is the cat, I'd be shocked if it wasn't stainless. Keep in mind that there are a lot of types and quality levels...stainless isn't stainless. Mind if I ask what you paid for a used exhaust? I'm looking to do the same, but the only ones I've found (on ebay) are pretty pricey.

    Key and FOB reprogramming

Yeah, that's the unit I had seen. Thanks! Doesn't sound like you've programmed keys with it, but does it work otherwise? Since it's just a cheap android tablet, it's a shame someone doesn't just sell the software and cable. Also a shame no one has found a copy of the dealer diagnostic tool...
