    Standard Exhaust Tune

Thinking about going back to the standard exhast system from the TORS, question is should I get the standard tune 20222 (I think!) put back into the ECU, I have the TORS tune atm 20226; I intend to keep the Cat delete fitted?

    Front Fork Oil Weight

About to have a set of Progressive front fork springs fitted and am trying to decide what weight of oil to use, the manual states 5w oil but some seem to recommend to go up to 10w oil. I am basically looking for comfort more so than handling prowesss, do you think that the 5w would be okay or...

    GI Pro ATRE Question

Okay, may be this is the case however if you read this thread he clearly states that he gained more performance after removing the secondaries even though he has the GIpro.

    GI Pro ATRE Question

Doesn't that depend on the tune you have loaded eg, with the TORS tune (20226) I think that the secondaries are closed further than the standard tune, could be wrong though (usually am).

    Front Fork Springs Replacement

After having replaced the rear shocks with the 440 Progressives I thought I might as well do the front, I have ordered the progressive springs, question is can I replace the springs on the bike without dismantling the front end, also do I need any special tooling to do so? If it is all too hard...

    Cleaning the wheels

Mine are not coated (08 Standard) I polished them when I first got the bike using S100 metal polish and Autosol, I then applied a good quality wax, has lasted very well almost 9 months. All I do after washing the bike is wiping with a chamois and spot cleaning and re-waxing if required. Peter

    Fork Springs-Hagon vs Prog. Suspension

I bought the Progressives with the HD springs, I am thinking I should have gone with the standard springs, I still have them on the softest setting and they still appear to be a bit on the firm side, definately better that the OEM's though. Btw, I weigh around the 100kg (220lbs) mark, the HD's...

    Fork Springs-Hagon vs Prog. Suspension

The YSS are quite expensive for what you get, this was according to one of the shockie re-builder guys I was talking to in Brissy, he advised not to buy the YSS as the quality left a bit to be desired, he did advise that the Ikons were better in their quality but if I wanted better to go with...

    Windshield Options

I had the same issues, tried the summer screen (great in the warmer climes) I wanted to go back to the roadster screen so I fitted the lower wind deflectors, eliminated most of the buffeting, btw I am 5'10" so not sure if it will be effective for your height. Peter

    Black Motor

S100 Engine Brightener, not sure if available in the US but has to be the best stuff ever, excellent on all black painted components; or I have used Inox (similar to WD-40) also excellent. Peter

    Mounting lower deflectors

No your not that dumb, but maybe you should try a different dealer; they can be a PITA to fit as I have just fitted a set. I used the supplied tape split down the middle (same width as the brackets) be sure to use masking tape or similar between the mounting brackets as you will end up...

    What are the signs

This happened to me earlier this month, the bike is at the dealers now having the upgrade done at Triumph's expense as it is still in warranty, details are: 2008 Standard (bought new August 2009) 8500Kms (about 5000miles) Engine number 327910 (the cutoff is as you quote) I suggest that your...

    Looks Like It's Upgrade Time

Looks like mine is a lower number (327910), so does that mean that my engine could possibly be from an earlier model build than Feb 08; the full VIN is SMTC00L478T327910? Peter

    Looks Like It's Upgrade Time

Recently my bike has been making some unusual noises, the noises felt like they were coming from the drive line more so than the trans or engine, it was a clattering sound like a handfull of rocks in a tumble dryer; this had been getting progressively worse, also not sure if it is related but...
