Today I pulled the exhaust manifold off my GT to get it ceramic coated. I'll take it tomorrow to the powder coated and see how long before I can put the bike back together. I also pulled the heat shields off my Thunderbird Storm to get them coated as well. I don't have a heat issue with the T-bird, it's strictly just aesthetics. I'm going to be very curious how much heat that will take off my leg at stops on the GT. I'll report once I've had a test run on it. Once it's back together I'll post up an "after cermaic coat" photo. This is the before shot:

I see you have CF. Heat shields already. I wanted them as well. Then I figured if I added a few more dollars I could just get the vandemon manifold that comes with them...... I like the OEM manifold in black better than the gold stainless. Somebody else did their's. It looked good

The manifold is at the coater's shop today and he indicated about a week to get it done so will have a cost to share with everyoe when I get his quote (it's geting coated, **** the torpedos and full speed ahead!).
I paid $190 to get the Vandemon ceracoated. Just for reference. More than I expected actually. They said it was the 1800 degree stuff

Got my manifold back today (took it in Monday) so really fast turn around. The job was expertly done too, the heat shield threads were not coated, the stud holes are clean of spray and he didn't spray the connection point of the mainfold to cat pipe:

Next up after installation is to see how effective it is in heat reduction. Will post up some pics after installing.

Got the exhaust put back on with fresh gaskets top and bottom and torqued to spec (no leaks go figure). Took it around the block to see how much heat built up and it is less so improvement!! The blacked out look I like better than the stock look too, so yippee all way round.
