Not so sure about that. There is a Christian pastor that is involved and been charged with a hate crime. He was attending a LGBT event and was trying to engage in a dialoge when he was physically attacked and when the police arrived the pastor was arrested. You can Google Street preacher arrested in Toronto.
I don't think the ignition/headlight issue was fixed until 2010 when the Roadster came out. The clutch lifter shaft was changed in the middle of 2008 with any vin higher than 337294.

Hmmm - mine is a 2009 and had the old shaft when the detent went "ping".
