  1. TPMS system

Having taking the rocket 111 off the road for the winter I'm looking to do some work on the bike, one of these is trying to find the best type of tyre pressure monitoring system. Have this on my car its a great aid when the TPMS goes off saying the pressure is low on a given wheel so I'm looking...
  2. Throttle body check

Hi. I have a 2012 Roadster from new which has 22,000 on the clock, the last time I had the throttle body checked was at 10,000 so how often do throttle bodies really need to be checked as mine has not had this done for 12,000 miles, also are there any symptoms that they need checking as I am...
  3. Realistic Fuel Mileage?

Hi. While taking a tour of Spain & Portugal where the road are straight long especially Spain I managed in 1 day to achieve 48 mpg (English miles) at an average speed of 70 mph then rode through Portugal which was up & down dale then the mpg dropped dramatically around 35 mpg so it all about...
  4. Fuel filter renewal

Now that's strange but I have just checked a Triumph parts list for both the classic/roaster and touring and they are both different, the classic & roadster don't have it but the touring does. Yes its got the very fine plastic filter, does the torque setting for the reassembly of the pump unit...
  5. Fuel filter renewal

I got around to replacing the fuel filter yesterday, what I thought was an easy and simple job had me fearing not to damaging the tank studs and fuel gauge on removal. All of the nuts holding the pump in place were very tight to undo all the way along the thread and I was hoping that they would...
  6. Head light upgrade

Just another thread and as you guest it I'm going to be busy in the new year, I have a 2012 Roadster and I want to upgrade from a H4 to LED headlights if possible and from what I can ascertain here in the UK is that if any vehicle originally has a H4 head light you cannot put a LED bulb into...
  7. Fuel filter renewal

Hi. I believe that you need to bleed in/out of the ABS as it needs refreshing like the rest of the system other wise its a waste of time doing the replacement as its a closed circuit until the ABS cut in.
  8. Fuel filter renewal

Hi. When you said didn't line up was it that the inlet/outlet are not the same dim as the original Triumph filter i.e smaller dim !. As for what you said about doing your own servicing I do what I can myself then let a dealership carry out important stuff, they checked the 20,000 mile valve...
  9. Fuel filter renewal

Hi. Just looking at the 1st pic there is a slight difference as you said but are the inlet/outlet tubes the same dim as the Mahle look slightly smaller, if so will that affect flow at high demand !!.
  10. Fuel filter renewal

Over the winter months I'm going to replace the fuel filter for my 2012 Roadster, I was amazed at the price of a genuine triumph filter £48.41 + £18.37 for a new seal. The seal I will get from Triumph as I don't think you can get a pattern part plus I don't want leaks over a hot engine (BOOM)...
  11. Belvel box repaint

I have a 2012 Roadster and the powder coating is flaking off (laminating) so has anyone had this problem and have they had it either repowder coated or painted as I would like to get this done.
  12. ABS fault light on

I managed to trace the ABS fault down to a crushed cable after testing it with a multi meter so then went to find how much this will cost to replace and found Triumph asking £125.00 for the part + fitting it. So decided to see if I can find a second hand sensor but no luck there, I did find that...
  13. ABS light is on

  14. ABS light is on

  15. ABS light is on

Hi. My 2012 Roadster has got a ABS fault light come on this week and I have checked over the bike and have found the front ABS cable next to the head stock has been squashed and I think that by turning the handle bars to the left somehow the cable has got caught when on full left hand lock. My...
