    Opinions on this bike?

Hi, Owned a 1600cc marauder for years. Looks like the Tbird..see pic.. Nice bike but the lower seating position made the machine less than stable. It was work to keep it upright at corners with the passenger on. Fell over once during a tight, slow turn. When the passenger gets on, the higher...

R3T Fuel level indicator not reading.

Surprising how the batteries go to 0 volts when discharged. Bought my replacement direct from YUASA and saved a bundle. Came in the mail!

R3T Fuel level indicator not reading.

I have hooked up a booster cable size wire to the positive terminal of the battery and ran it to under the side cover. I carry a lithium battery pack and can easily boost the bike without taking off the seat. Piece of mind as I have mood lighting that i leave on during the meets.

R3T Fuel level indicator not reading.

RC is a resistive / capacitive circuit; With each cycle of the alternating current, the capacitor charges thru the resister and, through this action, the circuit provides an average reading for the gas gauge. Again, this keeps the gauge needle from fluctuating as the float bobs around in the...

R3T Fuel level indicator not reading.

It's the RC network driving the averaging circuit. Gas sloshes alot and the float moves up and down with the movement... the needle on the gauge is steady though. this circuit provides an averaging function thru a resistive/capacitive network that takes several cycles to charge once...

Lost and Found - side cover

Lost my side cover off the highway somewhere between Ottawa and Windsor. Looked into a replacementand the $$ was crazy. Returned to Windsor again three weeks later and kept a eye out. Spotted it off the road near the Milton cut-off. Crazy lucky, only scratched up a bit. Cheers

    Dead gas gauge post tuning..

Apologies if this is a repeat, however, after an ECU update, the averaging circuit for the gas gauge can be discharged and take some time to ramp up. Don't worry, the gauge will start working again after driving a while. Cheers.
