    Chariot Facelift MK3

One shot is from the top of the rest and be thankful on the A83. I did a hill climb up the old road here on a Triumph Thunderbird minus sidecar. It went quite well with the lower gearing. Only competition I ever entered. It's 38miles to Inveraray. 8 of us used to get up at 5am to avoid the fuzz...

    Clutch pressure plate lifter bearing.

It was geared too high was burning clutches out. Lower gearing gives us great acceleration at the expense of top speed hopefully extending the life of the clutch.

    Chariot Facelift MK3

Saturday 21st of June was a lovely day up here in Glasgow. Me and Graham headed up to Tyndrum about 150mile round trip coming back through Callander. Clutch is working perfectly and with the reduced ratio in the diff, acceleration in 4th gear is mental. Using the Tomtom for speed we were...

    Clutch pressure plate lifter bearing.

Latest version of my clutch is Barnet competition clutch with carpenter race springs and standard triumph bolts. Before the last rebuild the clutch lasted about 1500 miles. The new rebuild is with a substantially reduced ratio in the diff. The speedo is now wildly out but we should get a much...

    Clutch pressure plate lifter bearing.

After a winter check up on my engine and new clutch fitted I had a complete facelift and redesign of the Chariot by Lumley Engineering including lowering the diff ratio. Got the Chariot back in time for the lovely weather in April and took it out for a run. The clutch lifter failed within 50...

Motor Trike conversion for my 2016 Rocket III

Hoping that it is third time lucky! I'm 76 years old in 2 months - I don't have time for a mark 4.👴

I used a Hyperpro 130 stroke. You need to make your own mounts.

Motor Trike conversion for my 2016 Rocket III

Have a look at my chariot conversion. presently getting the mark 3 built, details to follow. I have a BMW M5 e39 differential 2.93ratio for sale. This is not a limited slip diff. Makes a good back end using BMW parts. gearing is too high for my weight with wheelchair. Just put yet another...

    Mark 3 chariot conversion

As it has already turned to winter in Scotland, rain and 13 degrees today I have decided on a redesign of the trike. Have approached Paul Lumley and he will do the build over the winter. I have done what I can with the clutch but it looks like I can only get 1200 odd miles. Only thing left to...

Rocket3 Roadster Trike - Differential ratio question

Hi Taz, Just had a long weekend away about 700 miles all in. At long last the clutch is behaving and pulls well in all gears with no sign of slip so i guess the carpenter springs and the reduction in gearing using a lower profile tire has done the trick. For the UK guys we were staying in...
