Captain C needs to Ressurect his Turbo Rocket III

Hello all, After a several year hiatus, it looks like I am back. I need to resurrect my turbocharged (Turbo Connection) Rocket III which has been sitting covered in a garage for two years. It will need a new battery and perhaps the starter unfrozen/relay. It will also need a fresh dyno tune...

New Generation Ignition Switch Wire Color Mappings...

For those who have suffered the infamous ignition switch failure and decided to do the repair yourself, be advised that the plug and wire color mappings have changed with the new generation switch. Although the new switch comes with an adapter plug, you still need to know the color mappings...

    Boost Is Good Turbo....

I have had 14,000 trouble free miles with the kit. Put the kit on with 16K on the bike, now just turned 30K yesterday. Just replaced the air filter once. Yes it uses the Garrett turbo that is oil fed from the R3. Input hose from a custom fittng on the oil filter and return to the third plug...

    TPS Replacement Problem

And actually you are right - In a drag race you want to shift at the sweet spot on your torque curve, which for me is 3500-5000 rpm... This problem first manifested itself when we tried to drag race each other leaving your brother's house a few weeks ago... That is how you beat me...

    TPS Replacement Problem

Yes, it is Triumph of Windber GR3Wolf and I are always talking about... Great dealer... They did the Turbo install for me... I don't know what the coils cost, but can find out tomorrow when I go there to settle the bill... Walt - Thanks for the recommendation on the fuel pump.. I will...

    TPS Replacement Problem

Glad I could help... It is only cost me a new TPS and about 2 hours labor... They put the original coils back... The TPS had to be replaced anyway because of the rough idle... Mike..

    TPS Replacement Problem

OK, We changed the TPS once again, replaced all three coils... Still missing at WOT today... We then stumbled upon a loose bolt that held the airbox for the turbo ontop of the number three throttle body... Tighted that - Problem solved!!!!! Turns out at high boost (i.e. WOT) the airbox...

    TPS Replacement Problem

Walt, The best I can describe is that it feels like you are hitting the rev limiter. So your idea of fuel starvation may be good one. At 24.5K miles, I still have the original fuel pump. I will have them check the fuel filter and pump. It does only happen at WOT and does stop if you lessen...

    TPS Replacement Problem

Hey Walt - How are you doing? It feels like an ignition miss, but almost like you are hitting the rev limiter... I can be doing 2K, 3K or 5K rpm - bike crusing along fine - peg the throttle and the missing occurs before I ever reach readline.. If I do a gradual roll-on, all is fine until I...

    TPS Replacement Problem

Ok, Started to finally have the dreded idle problem after 24,500mi... Can't do the idle recall tune (which only works half the time anyway) due to my turbo tune being based on 20050 '06 family of tunes. So Triumph of Windber replaced both the primary and secondary TPS to be sure all was...

    Communication between riders

If you are going to use these to discuss the latest snide remark from your mother-in-law while riding, then don't get them... Nothing good will come of it... If you are riding in a group with riders of varying style and ability, then they are good to keep in touch to make sure everyone is ok...

    Communication between riders

You can in one of two ways... You can put a hardwired press to talk button down your sleave or have your comms initiated through voice.. You have a knob to control the voice actuation level... When there is voice communication initiated by anyone, any audio from Mp3, Ipod, GPS or whatever is...

    Communication between riders

All of the bluetooth stuff mentioned above is good and well concealed, but your comms will not exceed several hundred meters. For example, would if you get separated, such as at a light.. I recommend the Chatterbox XBi... Our Rat pack uses these on our rides... GR3Wolf and I can communicate...
