    Yes, I think I'll prowl for a 2010 or newer Roadster. I joy-ride much more then I take long tips. I can always get a windshield and bungee-on a duffle bag.

    Supposedly they put the 180 on the Touring so they could fit the hard luggage a bit more inboard. Probably helps mileage a bit as well.

    Yes, the 240mm tire is not for function. Choppers started the trent 10-12 years ago with 210, then 250...all the way to 330mm tires. Even the Gold Wing only uses a 180mm rear tire. BNig rubber increases drag and hinders handling, but they sure look cool :-)

    Folks, I just got "straight" on the motors with and without the updated fixes. It's not the motor number, but the last 6 digits of the VIN. They have to above 337294. The 2009 bikes I've looked at are all above that number, so the final "fix" occurred before that.

    I like the windscreen and hard bags on the Touring model, but didn't want to permanently give up the power of the Std and Roadster. As long as the compression ratios and all are the same, it's just a matter of changing the exhaust, intake, and tune.

    Yes, 2009 Touring. I'd do the Cat eliminator and K&H intake, so should be able to get it up to accptable Rocket "Grunt" :-) Thanks

    Folks, other than the obvious hard bags, windshield and floorboards, I understand the Tourer has more low-end torque but less high-end HP. Are their elements of the motor that create this, or is is just a matter of tuning specs?

    Yes, I know. The 2 I'm looking at are 3333776 and 3336622....both 2009 bikes.

    Get a 2010 or newer bike. All the kinks have been worked out.
