Well today it was a baseline for where the journey starts. I took the widow maker in to the dyno jet to see what’s actually going on in her mind. A little recap, nels tune 23068, d and d slip ons ( today with taters in) I know they gotta go, crossover pipe and ram air. Well she seems to cut that throttle off at 80%, she sets her top speed at 120mph, but we’re on our way. More parts on the way.
WRONG TUNE rookie, 20368 stock tune awful, corrected with nels 20368 will do another baseline

Ok so a great week of progress and hope for achieving my goal, @DEcosse eyed bad 20368 stock tune and got me straight on 20368 nels deristicted tune and the baseline today verified that, taters and taters out really better with in on current stock header system very small differences afrs better with in and a little more tq lost like 1 hp up top, so more good news the young gun claviger has volunteered to install whatever Neville comes up with to get where I want to get, gonna make the call to the man in the tin shed after vacation next month so probably end of sept and if Neville will sell to me I’m gonna crate up the engine over the winter with the lush racing parts (oh so excited to get his parts) and Fedex to his garage liftgate delivery pallet jack in garage. Update on oz headers they’re on there way back to Les from ceramic coaster and then off to Tennessee, @Speedy has dialed me in a specific tune that he owns and can’t be shared so don’t ask sorry but he was sure kind to hook me up so I’m sure he might help someone else with it if ever needed. So without further ado today’s numbers for ****es and giggles certainly nothing special. Ram air, stock headers, d and d slip ons taters in taters out and crossover pipe running nels deristricted tune I believe by bob, it was fun. Also snapped some of tuners world speed records pretty cool

So today dyno said 160mph at 6500, he said it was still making power at rev limit, so thinking out loud at 7000 he’s thinking 180 on dyno street probably gonna look more like 140 at 6500, 160 at 7000 which with the young gun and Mr. Lush im coming for the 200hp club full steam, respecting the widow maker more and more everyday and in my world respect can keep you alive

These are speeds here mph not hp, so at 6500rpm it was going 160mph on dyno, real world wind resistance he was talking out loud maybe 140mph at 6500rpm, so at 7000rpm he thinks bike will probably hit 180mph on dyno, hypothetical guessing of course but for now at 6500rpm the bike was chugging along at 160mph

rpm and road speed I have just been schooled on by the guru, and Jeremy has schooled me to the 140 mph remark he made saying if you get to the 6500rpm it will be close to 160 except could be down a little do to slip at clutch and tire may limit down to 155 was his guess, I’m really learning, thankful for all that help so freely

with my excreda max every 1000 rpm equals 25 mph so @ 7000 u should be doing 175 mph.
i do not think that your clutch would be slipping and if it was u would probably be walking with a bad clutch when u stop the run.
now if the tire didn't slip it is probably expanded a bit and u might have to add a little speed.
an if the guy with the radar gets u and he don't have a sense of humor u will probably have a quick trip to jail.:(

The mph stuff was to help with a question about the 120mph speedometer on a touring, a deristricted touring when pegged by whichever crazy arse doing it is probably traveling close to 160mph, I observe all posted speed laws so obviously I wouldn’t need to know, unless I was at the Texas mile hehe who wants to go and yell yeehaw with me lol

The rider on the ninja is deceased not Jeremy the record holder but a friend, who had lost his left leg after a deer hit him, check out his shifter if you can make it out, lost life on a country road estimates of 170 when he came up on vulchers eating a deer in road that had been called in to have removed but apparently a vulcher struck him in head as he past causing catastrophic events to follow, you never know what’s around the next corner
