has any one else experience laquer peel of thier wheels, i'm due to have mine replaced under warranty. i have been led to believe the replacements have no coating and it's up to me to keep polished.

if so any one had thiers powder coated to sort issue for good and any good coaters in the west midlands area

regards

At least you had laquer to loose...my '07 never had any, so I gotta' stay on top of it.

I've noticed some discolored spots which I thought looked odd - figured it was something the dealer used to clean them with before I picked it up. It hasnt gotten any worse and isnt bad enough for me to complain about it yet. But peeling? thank goodness no.

Welcome to the club mate, they all do it eventually, especially in this country.
A few folk have had them coated, Owl for one.
You shouldn't find it hard to find a decent powder coater around the midlands.

my 2005 had laquered wheels, the front peeled first and was replaced under warantee, the rear didnt go until after the warantee expired.

Both wheels are coming off this week end for an appointment at the powder coaters next week, just got to decide on the colour, I'm tempted to do them black, so they never look dirty, but I think silver might look better when clean.

Both mine failed , replaced under warranty with unlacquered ones .
Dont find them that bad to keep clean

Would pitting and damage to unlaquered wheels (07) be a warranty issue?, or is it their "get out"?.......

I'd rather not have the coating. Much easier to polish than to have them peeling and looking like crap. I've had wheels with clear coating corrode under the coating before. There's not a lot you can do about it except have the coating stipped off and redone.
