Whats in your Rain Ride??

Rainsuit is good!!

Rides great, ran in hard rain with high speed two lane traffic and it ran great, even with the tire ruts in the road. I actually got almost 50 mpg. Pretty impressive. I was cruising around 60. Great rider, just make sure your tires are good.

Ride Safe.....

Flip, I imagine some of your bar-b-q'd steaks are on par with boot leather:D
No, you don't want to put fat back into leather for which the tanning process was accomplished for the purpose of removing such deteriorating (rot) factor.

I don't want to be a nit picker, but exactly how does bacon fat differ from "good ole lard".

Rocky:

I've been told by quite a few that my BBQ'd steaks are over the top. When I do a cook out , I only barbecue NY Strips. I marinate them in my secret marinade in a cool fridge for a couple of days before cooking. Then I fire up the Brinkman (I have one of those big 1/8" thick steel plate Brinkman's that I bought before I retired....They are guaranteed for a lifetime, weigh about 300 pounds). I fire it up with Kingsford charcoal and no charcoal lighter. I use a starter chimney and a couple of sheets of balled up newspaper. After I get a good bed of coals going, basically a whole bag, I sprinkle on water logged Mesquite wood chunks and start cooking.......I'm getting hungry typing this. Amy makes potato salad and everyone is encouraged to bring a dish and their own booze. Last cookout I had last year I BBQ'd 175 NY Strips. Planning one in early September....you are invited of course.

Lard and bacon fat are about the same except that lard is refined whereas bacon fat isn't. Remember Clabber Girl??
