I called the BMW dealer in Daytona yesterday to inquire about trading the Rock for a less expensive FJR. (OK, I know you think I'm nuts. However I run a Chevy dealership and it's possible my income is in question. I would like to reduce my debt while I can still qualify.) We couldn't come to an agreement. Looks like I will have to sell the bike myself.

What can I sell the bike for? It's an 08 R3T with 3,500 miles, (soon to have new tires thanks to the recall), Sargent seat, stock seat, both windshields, Stebel air horn, Aux light kit, pass back rest and luggage rack, highway bars with Triumph adjustable pegs, Kaoko throttle lock and two 12v outlets. Red and Black, clean and well kept. Six months ago I paid $15,500 with stock equipment.

I think retail should sell for around $11,500. What do you think? Anyone interested?

I'm not a Chevy man (Fords and Mazda's only since 1987, and I bought my last Chevy Caprice Classic in 1985 at Coggins Chevrolet, not sure what it's called now, near Regency Square) but I hate it that you may not do to well in the possible future "restructuring" that might take place with GM and Chrsyler.

If my bike was sold I would probably be in the market for just the type and color of bike you are selling but I'm not really looking to buy till next year closer to when I finish up over here.

Seems like a reasonable price, I wish you well and hope that it may not have to come to you having to part with it.

I would think it would bring more than that, I wouldn't take $11,500 for mine.

I would sell the accessories separate if I were you. Accessories don't help the price of the bike at all. Your bike will bring that price stock. You should have no problem getting at least 50% on the accessories sold separately. I would likely leave the light bar on it, but the seat and shield would definitely be sold separately.

Good idea, I bought $2500 in accessories after buying the bike.

Need to sell quick

Yes, regrettably she's for sale.

I found a less expensive bike I'm planning on trading for. I would rather sell the R3T outright to someone who would appreciate the bike. As equipped, with all accessories for $11,000 or $10,995. (I'm in the car business)

I will post it in this forum's classifieds. Uploaded photos to my photo album this morning.

08 R3T, less than a year old. 3,600 miles, both Triumph windshields, Stebel under the left cover, GPS power kit, side power plug, extra 12v plug right side in front of tank, Sargent just upgraded seat, additional stock seat, Triumph engine bars and adjustable pegs, light kit, pass back rest and luggage rack, Kayko throttle lock. Qualifies for new tires.

Thanks,

PS Can someone tell me how to pull a photo in to a post?

Sorry to hear about that. Again, wish I was in the immediate market...that is a good deal...but I've gotta wait till next year.
