OK, the last seriies of dyno tunes netting 150/160 RWHP/TQ via Hombre's early "1fasthombre" and PC3 dyno left me unhappy.
There was a HUGE flat spot at part throttle, most visible between 2K and 3K when you try to roll on it from 20% to 40% to 60%...it was dead!
And I lived with it since in all that time I never got the chance to go back and get my dyno guy to retweak the A/F.
After hearing Jethro talking about how he tuneboyed this, PC3'ed that...blahblahblah!! He said it seem ed like it was fuel related, and while I was hesitant I performed two things:
(1) Reset the throttle via the PC3 (which showed 2% throttle at 0% until corrected) and (2) I fattened up my fuel between 2K-3K at 20-40% throttle by +5).
This thing is now back to pulling and revving like I remember!! I THOUGHT I WAS SLIPPING IN SECOND it was revving so clean!! I can't even get the front up in first gear b/c a rapid part twist of the throt just spins through 1st
In retrospect, I think my latest dyno tune could have used more work (it obviously did, and I knew it b/c the bog was evident from the beginning).
Further, by turning the idle screw to get rid of my idle problems (which it solved) had an effect on the PC3 and the bikes delivery of power. This new reading needed to be reset w/i the PC3. Also, changes happen over time, so if you are wondering, go hook up your PC3 to PC and reset the throttle. Post here if you notice an improvement...
