What is the speed limiter setting for, on different tunes for the same bike the figure is different, eg base tune fora rocket is 281 and for the classic it is 195. Thes are in the tuneecu list. Also the speedo adjust do I go positive of negative if I wnaat my indicated speed to be slower than my actual (want to keep the license clean). What is the tps tab at the bottom of the screen for. Some of the answers are probobly very obvious but I want to be sure I aam getting it right..

SPeed limiters were set lower on the Classic in the older days ignore it and raise it as high as it can go I thing 299 KPH is the limit with tune ecu.

Now the speedo adjustment is to correct the error in the speedo depending on the rear tire used when new the speedo is off but the odometer is on once you move the speedo adjustment the odometer will be out by the % adjusted. The closest you will find to actual would be to run a Bridgestone Exedra max 240/55/16 it will only be off by a couple percent. Also every time you make the adjustment on either you need to save it before loading it into the ecu. As well with any other map changes.

Don't do speedo adjustment and your speedo will read faster than you are going. So if it reads 75mph, you will actually be going about 70

Just to recap. the speed limiter is the actual speed that the bike will go. So if it was set to 120 then the bike will only go to 120 or is it the scaling factore and if the the speedo adjuster is left at zero % then the reading is as factory

The speed limiter is a software limit set by the tune. If you set it low you can hit it like you stated 120 and the ecu will start cutting the power. set it to 299 and you will be able to reach that speed if your engine has the power to reach the 185 mph. easily done.

The speedo adjuster % will correct errors in your tire diameter. Say the difference between the 240/50/16 and the 240/55/16 (which is taller) All the ecu is doing is changing the SFPM formula By percentage of tire diameter variance from nominal programmed setting.

Last Question. ((set it to 299 and you will be able to reach that speed if your engine has the power to reach the 185 mph)).Is this kph or mph. And if I set the speedo adjuster it will be at the factory set correction.

I want to keep my license intack so as many limits I can find will be gratfully installed. I Know it is down to me And my wrist twisting.

299 kilometers = approx 185 miles

Don't mess with speedo adjuster and you'll be at factory setting: 0%
