OK, not really, but wouldn't that be great? I see HD stepped up; maybe Triumph will finally see the need to respond to customers' complaints about the problem ignition issue.

Harley-Davidson Recalling 308,000 Motorcycles for Possible Brake Failure
October 24, 2011

DETROIT – Harley-Davidson is recalling about 308,000 motorcycles to fix a switch problem that can cause failure of the brake lights and possibly even the rear brakes themselves.
The company says in government documents that brake light switches can be exposed to too much heat from the exhaust system. The brake lights can fail, and the problem also can cause fluid leaks and the loss of rear brakes.
<O:pThe problem affects Touring, CVO Touring and Trike vehicles from the 2009 through 2012 model years.
Harley says it will notify owners of the recall. Dealers will install a rear brake light switch kit free of charge.
The recall affects about 251,000 motorcycles in the U.S. alone.
The company says it's aware of only one crash from the problem. It was unclear if anyone was hurt.

My switch failed in a gravel car-park when I was doing a hard right turn. You guessed it, I got dumped when the rear wheel locked up!

Triumph replaced the ignition no argument.:)

I have a busted radiator, dented tank and busted indicator (signal), also it landed on my foot which isn't happy :( Dealer said Triumph will not consider fixing these..

Triumph will replace the ignition, on an individual basis. But they still refuse to recall the item and repair it proactively.

They prefer that Rocket riders are stranded in the middle of nowhere, are towed in at considerable expense and THEN, and only then, will they reluctantly replace the faulty ignition.

No good...

Be nice if they did a recall on the transmission "up grade" kit as well.......nothing more fun than doing a left turn and having second gear jump out to nothing....BTW, this has been done to my bike twice, first time it was done wrong (I paid out the butt), second time (sorry, under gag order, but it was fixed)
